Beyond the Practice

Laura and her husband, Sean, met in dental school in Nova Scotia, Canada. They moved to Ann Arbor after completing dental school so he could pursue his MD and oral surgery residency and she could complete her Master of Science in Orthodontics at the University of Michigan. Currently, Sean is Chief of Pediatric Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan.

The couple has four children, Aidan, Megan, Conor, and Ryan; their dog, Trudeau, completes the family. The children attend Ann Arbor public schools and participate in crew, robotics, field hockey, dive, soccer, and ice hockey. Supporting the children’s interests and activities keeps their parents busy.

Dr. Edwards loves spending time with family and friends. She is often found on the side of a river at a regatta, field for field hockey or soccer, ice rink for hockey, or a pool for a dive meet. The family enjoys many outdoor activities, as well as taking advantage of all the entertainment opportunities and great restaurants the Ann Arbor area offers. Laura and Sean feel fortunate to be part of such a wonderful community.
